Scott Blanco - Product Assistant

Scott's enthusiasm for native plant gardening began at The Watershed Nursery in December 2008, following his graduation from UC Berkeley (B.S. Molecular Environmental Biology). Scott applies his microbiological and plant laboratory background where possible, recommending integrative pest management strategies (who knew milk was an effective control against mildew!).

In addition to monitoring and recording health and maturity of growing transplants, Scott is responsible for updating the plant info/care database, as well as keeping inventory up-to-date. Scott continues to learn more about native plants and organic gardening methods as an avocation, and continues learning more about ecological science.
